Just Getting It Off My Chest

I didn’t steal the texture from Jonquille Noir of Little Rebel Designs. I’ve spent half the time since I’ve been awake this morning trying to relocate the friggin’ source material, but can’t. Can only find a version of the top made for the Sims. I guess we’re all just rippin’ off Jonquille Noir left and right, though. Isn’t humanly possible that it’s the same source material.

However, I’m just not all about the drama. I photo sourced, LOTS of designers do it, if you need to burn me at the stake for that, I guess I got it coming.

As I mentioned to you before, I have my jeans in PSD format, still. I also have the seamless denim texture that I used as a base material. In fact, since I can’t think of any designer who couldn’t use a decent seamless denim texture, you can grab that at the following link: http://www.coquettefashion.com/seamless_denim.tga

OH! Crap! I guess I should point out that the denim texture came off a texture CD I purchased, and is in no way, shape, or form my creation. Just a resource.

MEH!

We interrupt your irregularly-scheduled moment of drama to inform you that it’s business as usual. :P

And there you have it! ;) You can find most of these items on SLX already, but a couple of them are still only available from my in-world store. Enjoy!

A Little Bit of Ranting…

I’m taking a little breather for the moment - trust me I’m all kinds of busy - but while I do, there’s a few things that are really, really getting on my nerves lately.

I bought a great pair of cowboy boots the other day. Or cowgirl boots as the case may be. They were lovely. I did read in advance that they were no mod, and so I’m not going to name the designer, or lay any blame at anyone’s door other than my own. However, the boots were in 2 pieces, right? The foot part, of course, and the upper bits, attached to the lower legs. I see this commonly in boots, and that’s not the problem at all…

I know that designers (being one myself) want to protect their hard work. I understand why so many shoe makers sell their wares no mod. I don’t blame them! However, my calf is not your calf. My calf is not your model’s calf. My calves are my own, and while they may not be 100% unique to me, they’re not the same as yours. You, dear sir or madam, or your model, have stick sized legs, seriously, because the only way I could get the boots to work on me was to turn my leg muscles down to like 20! :’( Your tapered cylinder/cut spheres are beautifully textured and work well with the boots, but your tapered cylinder/cut spheres DO NOT FIT MY LEGS, and I LOOK GROSS if I resize my legs to fit YOUR BOOTS.

My point is this: I shouldn’t *have* to resize my avatar to fit shoes. I do understand that you want to protect your work, but all the hard work in the UPPER part of the boots was in the texturing. The major prim work was in the FEET. So, in short, LET ME MOD THE FREAKIN’ UPPERS, but keep your trade secrets secure in the lowers! They are two different attachments after all, so that IS possible.

They were seriously gorgeous boots that I spent a few hundred L$ on that I wound up passing off to a newbie with a more stick-figure appearance. >.<

Next rant: Lindens, fix the d@mn official forums, please. Formatting and links are broken, and there are a couple of FAQ/resource threads that it would be nice to be able to read, instead of having to sift through [b]Posts that look like this for crying out loud!

Ok, breather over, ranting over, back to work I go.

Two Extra Options in the “Bettie” Outfit

Bettie In Pink and Blue Leopard I love animal print, leopard print in particular, and so, I just had to try it out on the “Bettie” outfit. As it happens, I lurved it, and so it’s now available in my shop - but not on SLExchange yet.

I’ve also made a pretty cute little beaded choker which is an exclusive freebie for my updates group. So if’n ya wants it, ya gotsta join “Coquette.” :)

And with that, I’m bushed, and I’m heading for bed. <3
